How To install Rove R2-4k Dash Cam?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before installing R2-4k, please check if R2-4k Dash Cam can work properly, make sure it can work properly before you install R2-4k in your car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The device will start up Automatically and record as soon as power supplied, and the device will save the last video file and power off automatically after cutting the power supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be sure to insert the Memory card before powering up the device. Do NOT insert\/remove the memory card while the camera is turned ON. Only do so when it is turned OFF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

install Rove R2-4k<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Most people will install their R2-4K next to the rear view mirror and opposite side form the drive. First, Stop the engine where there is some light and in a safe place, and then remove the key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Make sure to clean your windshield from the dust particles and an evaporated grease from the dashboard surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Attach the ROVE R2-4K with the suction mount. Set the camera lens to pointing forward to the center when installing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. To Lock The Suction Mount: Press & hold it tight towards windshield to remove any air between suction mount and the windshield. While pressing & holding towards the windshield, turn the LOCKING Knob towards CLOCKWISE to LOCK in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Use the power cord to connect the USB Port of the product to car\u2019s cigarette lighter socket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommend use ROVE\u2019s USB Car Charger, otherwise the camera may frequently reboot or flicker LCD due to insufficient power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Use the cable clip to organize and hide the power cord so that it doesn\u2019t interfere with the driver\u2019s vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Adjust the lens angle of the camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loosen the screw to adjust the camera\u2019s view angle and then tighten to lock that angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simply rotate the camera 360o to record any direction you prefer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Start the engine and check if the product works properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installation Notes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Make sure that the camera\u2019s view is not obstructed by any window tint or any other objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your vehicle has side curtain airbags please be very careful when running any cables along your vehicle windows. Ensure you are
not running Cable past any of the airbags as this can prevent the airbags from deploying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure to remove the Plastic Lens Screen Protector from the lens before recording videos. Otherwise your videos will look blurry and blocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do not remove the Micro-SD card while the camera is turned ON.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otherwise it may cause memory card to be write protected and possible loss of data or damage your memory card. Always remove\/insert memory card while camera is turned OFF<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to turn the R2-4K Dash Cam on or off<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AUTO POWER ON\/OFF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Auto Power ON: <\/strong>ROVE R2-4K Dash Cam is designed to turn ON and start recording automatically when it receives power. i.e. when the car engine is started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auto Power OFF: <\/strong>The camera is also pre-configured to turn itself OFF automatically within few seconds when the power gets disconnected, i.e. when the car key is turned to LOCK position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MANUAL POWER ON\/OFF<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To manually turn ON: <\/strong>Press the power button once.
To manually turn OFF:<\/strong> Press and hold the power button for at least 2-3 seconds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some trucks\/car\u2019s 12V cigarette outlet is always HOT, which means it provides constant power even when the car is turned OFF and LOCKED.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this is the case for your vehicle, then the auto ON\/OFF feature will not work. And If you leave the camera continuously recording when the car is turned off, then it will drain your car\/truck\u2019s battery and you might not have enough power to start your car for next time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Remedy this situation, you can Hardwire your dash cam to your car\u2019s fuse box with ROVE\u2019S 3-Lead Auto Trigger Hardwire Kit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change the connection in the fuse box for your 12V outlet to socket which only supplies power when car key is turned to ACC or ON position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How To Play Video Recorded by Rove R2-4K on PC or MAC\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To play on your PC\/Mac, simply connect the camera using included short USB Data cable and choose the Connect as USB Flash Drive on the camera when this message pops up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or, You can simply remove the memory card from camera and insert it directly in your PC if you have a memory slot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then find the added memory card drive on your computer and then simply double click on the video to play them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then simply go to MY PC or Folder, then look for the added flash drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should be able to see drive \u201cD\u201d or \u201cE\u201d or other name depending on the pre-installed hard drives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you find the added flash drive, double click in it, then you will see the R2-4K folder where you will find your unlocked videos.
You will also see a folder named \u201cRO\u201d which means read-only, where you will see your locked videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROVE R2-4K Dash Camera is High Bit-Rate 4K Video recording device. Which requires High Speed Rating SPECIFIC Micro-SD Cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Must use only Brand Name, Class-10, U3 or higher speed Micro-SD Card. Max support 512GB.

How to install a memory card for Rove R2-4K<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Make sure the camera is turned OFF First.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then align the GOLD CONTACTS facing towards the front of the camera (Lens Side).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then insert the memory card half way in. Then use the finger nail or a paper clip to push the card all the way inward until it clicks and locks in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to remove the memory card for Rove R2-4K<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To remove the MicroSD card, gently push its edge inward until it clicks, and then pops out, then simply pull it out of the slot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How To Connect Rove R2 4k To Phone?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before connecting R2 4K Dash Cam, you need to download ROVE APP<\/strong>,Search for \u201cROVE\u201d in App Store or Google Play Store to find the App and then download and install it on your phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connect Rove R2 4k Dash Cam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Turn the WiFi ON from the R2 4K Settings, or long press EMERGENCY LOCK BUTTON for 2-seconds to turn the WiFi Mode On from the camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Now Simply join the ROVE R2-4K WiFi by going into your iPhone or Android phone\u2019s Settings > WiFi > ROVE R2-4K WiFi.
Then Enter the default password: 12345678. Then JOIN the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Now open the rove app, once your camera is connected to ROVE WiFi successfully and when you open the ROVE App, the camera will sync automatically. You should see the live video feed from the camera on the ROVE APP. Then keep exploring the APP from here on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is one extra step you will have to take for he first time. Once you connect to ROVE R2-4K WiFi, it will say \u201cNo Internet\u201d. Which is fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wait about 10-15 seconds until you see the below pop up or notification. You just have to tap on the pop up notification that will show up in few seconds to select that you still want to stay connected even though there is NO Internet. Once you select this OK, you are set to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the WiFi Range?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The WiFi signal range is about 10FT when there are NO obstructions in the middle. Please NOTE that just like your home WiFi network, you can\u2019t have WiFi signal outside your home, the same way, WiFi range is 10FT from this small device.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Can I watch Rove R2 4k video remotely?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\n

NO. ROVE R2-4K dash cam is NOT made to broadcast footage over the cloud or internet. It is NOT a cloud or an IP camera and it is NOT meant to do that. You can get live video and footage on ROVE R2-4K\u2019s APP as long as you stay within the 10FT range from the dash cam.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
